Which is better? Cornering? Launches? I'm more concerned about dry behaviour than wet. Thx.

Well, they wear well, but for performance...
well, they are just not a performance tire --

I have Nitto NT-450's on my car right now... they are just about worn out, and I WILL NOT be putting another set of 450's on !!! The dry traction SUCKS... the wet seems to be about average. People say the 555's are much better... I think that I am going to try the Yokohama A-520's next. I have them on my Del Sol and I like the wet performance. I hear that they are pretty grippy too.

Oh yeah, now if you're talking the nitto 555 drag radials, that's a world of difference from the 450s.
The only problem is they probably won't last most people much more than a year on tread wear if you daily drive with them.

cuase they squeek more then my mom saccord stock tires and they make a bunch of noise even at 30 mph, they are bouncy(50 15 205), my friends 17 rode much better.
so they suck, i will pay more for other if i could change my mind.

Nitto 555's are godlike compared to the 450s I've got now.
The S305's came with my LS. I still have them, and Ive had the car two years. They work well in the snow.
The 450 is just a tad better than the S305. But you were asking about the s306...

Well, i am far from any TIRE "guru" but i know what has worked for me.....
On my 17"s i ran 205/40s from BFGoodrich that were EURO T/A's!!! Now you talk about a tire that SUCKED in every aspect of performance, hell it even SUCKED at SUCKING!
I have been on my 205/40 Yoko A520's for bout 10,000 miles now....All i can say is for 108 bux for the Z Rated's, THIS TIRE IS JUS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!!!
The tread wear on those EURO's i had was 300 so they kinda spoiled me for LONGEVITY, and the A520's are 180, so, yes i am seeing MORE wear NOW than im used to, ive probably got another 6, to 8 thousand miles left on them....
I used the A520 for 4 AutoCross sessions and they were hangin in with SOME of the KUMHO equipped cars....they were gettin THRASHED MORE, but they were doin their job!!
I will get A520s once again, as i am VERY pleased with them, HELL!, i can 60ft times on the drag strip with 34lbs in them and STILL get a 2.156!!!!!! When i drop the pressure to 18-20, ill get 2 flat!
I really love this tire, quiet, wet traction rules, treadwear "ok"......GOOD TIRE!
Thanx,
Tony
